Or, Corrinn FINALLY makes another post.

Thinga have been so uber busy lately that there's been little time for me to make updates of any sort... but hings have been going well.

Since I started my new job, evrything has been going smoothly, and I am now by myself for the next couple of weeks. My boss went on vacation 2 weeks before she was due to give birth to her little boy, and I had to step up and learn EVERYTHING about running the showroom in less than 3 months. So far, so good. My boss gave birth at the end of April, and should be back mid-June as long as she gets the OK from her doctor to come back to work, then normality will resume... sort of.

Brad's been traveling around the country working for Badger Blades, and doing rather well. He was in Florida for over 2 months, came home for a month, and then was sent to St. Louis for 5 weeks. He returns in less than 2 weeks, and I can't wait.

Erica, Brad and I made the decision to buy a house together late last year, and have made pretty good progress on it. Erica and I got approved for a loan, we found a real estate agent, and have been looking at houses like MAD!!! Offers have been made and rejected, over-thrown, and beat out by others. We made an offer on a house last week, and they are looking into our offer further. We are in negotiations right now,a nd waiting to hear back on our counter to thier counter. We should have more news by Monday.

For those of you that have been under a stone since January, Brad and I are officially engaged. :-D No date even inour minds yet, as we want to make sure that we are settled in the house before we even think about it. Probably looking at Spring 2011 at the earliest.

Everything else has been dancing dancing dancing... sewing sewing sewing.... just trying to keep myself busy.

Hope everyone else is doing well. hope to see you kids out at some point.

But for now...

You Are 92% Goth

You are clearly goth. Even if you don't consider yourself goth, other people do.

Let's face it. You're a little moodier, darker, and weirder than most people.

But that's okay. You enjoy being different, and you're proud of who you are.

Many psychologists think that goths are more self aware and smarter than the average person!

Your result for Which Chess Piece are You Test?...

The Rook's Hawk

Congrats! Only 12-16% of the population score this!

The Rook’s Hawk is like a judge. They have a great sense of right and wrong especially in their area of interest or responsibility. They are devoted to duty. They are punctual. People who set their clocks on others are typically measuring their time with the Hawk. It is common to perceive that the Hawk is cold or aloof. They frequently protect their emotions via practicality.

They work systematically to get the job done. When a new procedure is proven, they can be depended upon to carry it out. The Rook’s Hawk is deeply frustrated by the inconsistencies of others, especially when it comes to commitments. They will keep their feelings to themselves – but when asked expect truth over tact. They are quite able to make the tough call and carry it out. You will find the Rook’s Hawk at home in government, schools, military or any other organization which maintains strict hierarchy. They are the traditionalist and are perfect for balancing out the idealists of other types.

The Rook’s Hawk thrives on organization. They keep their lives and environments well-regulated. They bring painstaking attention to detail in their work and will not rest until satisfied with a job well done. They are obviously hard workers. They will sort through ideas and find the most practical ones, again revealing how common sense prevails in this type. This ‘Pawn’ is the cornerstone of an ethical working society. They are centered on dealing with the present and most practical affair. They observe life and promote consistency in society. They value loyalty and others are best to acquaint themselves with this type if they wish to gain a fruitful insight to what makes the world tick.

To the packaging companies: When you have a product with a resealable pouch, why is it that the "cut here" line is never where it should be? I find it very aggravating, since I cut on the line (just like I learned to do in kindergarten) and the bag still is not open. So I have to cut further and further down, and eventually I end up either ripping the zipper right out of the pouch, or cutting it off. Come on, people- it's not that hard to do.

Now, off to do work.

*Disclaimer, I'm really pissed off about this, so it might not make perfect sense. There is a moral and all, so please bear with my craziness. Thank you*

Ok, so almost a year ago I took my car in to get new tires at Sears. They fucked my car, and that's being nice. Brad took my car into work while I was out of town last week for an oil change and to balance and align my tires, since the steering column shook really badly. When he took my tires off, he found that when my new tires were put on, they were never balanced! The amount of shit that was caked on around the tire weights could not have formed there in less than a year, and let's not forget that the weights that he took off were discontinued over 2 years ago. Fuckers not doing their jobs. When we went in to Sears to try and get two new tires (since I got full coverage on them) they wouldn't do a damn thing. All the service manager would do is sit there and talk to Brad like he was a moron, and not even acknowledge my presence (for those who might not know, he's been a mechanic for 10 years). That pissed me off. He offered to do some kind of bullshit that wasn't even necessary. I told Brad that they are not touching my car EVER again. Finally, we got the General Manager out there, and he still treated us like morons. He would not give us the refund we were asking for on one of my tires, even though you could SEE the steele belting shining right through the rubber of the tire "Because that's an alignment issue, and that's not covered in the warranty." I told him that I asked for an alignment when I got the tires, and I confirmed it with the clerk that rang me up. I didn't have the paper work, so I was lied to. After much frustration, and me almost kicking some major ass, he reluctantly agreed to replace the tire, and warranty cost on the SECOND tire that was damaged due to improper installation (even though he claims that the damage was caused by a mechanical issue). We disagreed on that point. He wanted to pro-rate the price of the tire, and put that cost towards a new tire that was going to be installed by them. No. We are getting a tire elsewhere, and you are going to refund the FULL cost of the tire plus the cost of the warranty. Finally an agreement.

Oh, and get this, the whole time, Brad is talking to the Technicians that were there, and the tecs even told him that both the service manager and the general manager were both morons. I wish that one of them had been able to speak up about the way we were being treated. We might have actually gotten what we wanted, and not have to do the next step, which is....

Needless to say, corporate and the HR department of Sears will be getting a complaint. A nice long one. This is the abridged version.

If you need tires, please take the time and a little more gas, and go down to see Brad at the NTB by Potomac Mills. They know their shit there.

Is crazy... Trying to get everything set at work and at home before going on vacation for a week is going to be a pain in my ass. If there is anything that people need from me before I disappear, let me know. Work is already starting to chip away at my sanity and time. I feel like a bowl of Zombie mush... please tell me when it's Saturday, and I can go to faire... It will all be over then. I swear. I hope.

I took it twice. Also to be sure and cover the Bi-polar side of me.

Here's my happy day results.

Your Score: Siouxsie Sioux!

Our test has determined that you possess
24% Hellbentness, 23% Sanguinity, and 51% Creeps!
Well done!

You are Siouxsie Sioux, lead singer of Siouxsie and the Banshees!

Siouxsie and the Banshees were a British gothic rock band that encompassed the punk and new wave genres. She and the Banshees were not directly involved in the early goth scene as such, but had a massive influence on it in terms of both music and image. Siouxsie Sioux courted much controversy in the band's early days with her dress, often wearing 'bondage' clothes and fetish wear. Their music had been called "gothic" as far back as 1979, and their music formed the template for a lot of female-fronted goth bands in much the same way that Siouxsie's sense of style provided a fashion plate for many female goths. Between the two bands, Siouxsie & the Banshees and Bauhaus pretty much rocked early gothic style into being.

And here's my bitchy day results.

Your Score: Morticia Addams!

Our test has determined that you possess
60% Hellbentness, 62% Sanguinity, and 44% Creeps!
Well done!

Your Proto-Goth Icon is Morticia Addams!

Morticia is a vampish woman who dresses only in black and loves to cut the buds from roses, leaving only the thorny stems. She and her husband Gomez both come from long lines of maniacs and monsters.

Morticia and Gomez are passionately in love, and are deeply concerned with the well-being of their children. Though they all share an obsession and interest in death, dying, and other gothic and macabre subjects, the Addamses are not evil people (in several of the TV episodes, Gomez is willing to donate large sums to worthy causes, to the shock of the already shell-shocked visitors), and usually restrict their ghoulish activities to within their own family. Most of the Addamses' neighbours are less than understanding, however. Within the larger community, the Addamses are viewed as oddballs, dangerous, or worse.

. . .

"I created this lovely, decoupaged, and oh-so-tasteful inspirational candle for Carolyn Jones and wrote a prayer for her.
Here's the fine print on the back:
'O, Beautiful Carolyn Jones!
I place my humble soul before you, and in my boredom with modern television in an age of virtually-created, surgically altered, homogeneous perfection, beseech you to aid me with your mighty and mysterious powers. Though your movie and television appearances are too numerous to mention here, I celebrate your outstanding roles as the Batman villainess 'Marsha Queen of Diamonds,' your roles with Elvis, Vincent Price, and the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. I turn to you for inspiration through your most memorable and beloved role of Morticia Addams:
Neat. Sweet. Petite.
In lighting this candle, I celebrate your spirit as a truly swinging chick of the 50's and 60's. May the loving kindness of your power help me and bestow on me a fraction of your vampy, quirky charm that will enable me to live in peace and happiness, and also look as good as you did in a black tube dress.
Amen. '" -Rachelle Rose Hurst
